The Smashing Machine is Benny Safdie’s debut solo feature starring Dwayne Johnson as MMA fighter Mark Kerr, a championship caliber figure in the early days of UFC. The film follows his rise and fall as well as his relationship with then girlfriend Dawn played by Emily Blunt.
